Good legal writing must be comprehensible, concise, cogent and complete. The major source of information to the judgment, decision and award of any hearing must be accurately recorded. They must convey a logical train of thoughts in the decision making, taking into account all evidence and materials presented and how the decision is arrived at.

Your writing must also convey sufficient understanding of the relevant legislation and authorities and the manner in which the decision making is based upon. Reasons for evidence or other materials which were presented but not acted upon must also be clearly explained.
