OVERVIEW

The goal of an investigation report is not only to show the details of the investigation and their outcome, they also to serve as a useful reference.

The responsible authority relies on the report to determine what appropriate actions should be taken. A good report is one that is complete without being too long. It must set out the nature of the allegations, show relevant facts, and provide the evidence collected. It needs to be written objectively and fairly.

This is the third and final part of our 2-day Workplace Investigation workshop
